The Cube Kathmandu Hybrid One is the entry-level model in the Kathmandu Hybrid range, with a surprisingly powerful motor (Bosch Performance Line CX) and a sporty 12-speed groupset. However, don't be mistaken - although it is the entry-level model in the Kathmandu Hybrid range, it is an incredibly comfortable e-bike. Plus, Cube makes it possible to ride the most powerful Bosch motor at a very competitive price. And 100 mm of travel suspension is more than enough for average daily use on cycle paths.
Bosch Performance Line CX motor
This motor (BDU38), with a torque up to 120 Nm, works in conjunction with the Bosch Purion 200 compact display, which shows all your basic data (speed, pedal assist mode, range) right on your handlebars.
Shimano XT derailleur with Deore cassette
The 12-speed XT derailleur (RD-M8200-SGS with ShadowPlus technology to minimise the chance of the chain coming off) works with a Deore 10–51T cassette. As this is a standard Hyperglide component, you can replace it later with another HG cassette of the same range, without being restricted by a closed system.
Integrated frame lock with keyed-alike system
Instead of a separate chain lock, the Kathmandu Hybrid One e-bike comes with a frame lock that is integrated into the frame. Thanks to the battery lock’s keyed-alike system, you can use a single key to both remove the battery from the bike and lock the bike.

- The UDH derailleur hanger has a universal design: If it should get damaged, you can quickly find a suitable replacement just about anywhere in the world. That said, it is a component that is not very likely to get damaged.
- The ACID Integrated Carrier 3.0 CSR luggage rack is compatible with the CUBE adapter system and with all standard panniers.
Not compatible with:
- Possibly, child seats that clamp round the seat post because they may interfere with the integrated seat clamp. If in doubt, choose a child seat that attaches to the luggage rack.

- Charge the battery before your first ride and, if you’re putting the bike away for a while, try to keep it at around 50%, which is best for its lifespan.
- Check tyre pressure regularly; the correct pressure is printed on the sidewalls of the Schwalbe Motion Big Apple tyres.
- Have the fork serviced annually to ensure the suspension continues to work smoothly.
